Our 88% Gator Mesh is an extremely durable sun shade. It's made on the same machines that make trampoline material, and other industries use it as hurricane fabric. The edges are folded, covered with shade tape and sewn with a double-needle lockstitch machine, with grommets about every 12" on all 4 sides. Life expectancy is about 10 years.
You don't have to be careful with this material — just keep it from flapping. Wind is its only enemy: if it ever blows away, you might still find it attached to the frame!
