This fabric will block almost all of the sunlight creating excellent shade. Our Sunblocker fabric has the highest Tensile and Tear Strength of any material we use and is designed to withstand abusive environments. This fabric is similar to the fabric used to make trampolines. This fabric does not allow much air to penetrate it, therefore the wind will be its biggest enemy. You must install the panel with as little slack as possible. The tighter the material is hung the longer it will last. This is a top quality fabric that provides a high level of shade. A shade panel made from this material will weight approximately .062 lbs/square foot (a 10’x20’ tarp will weigh approximately 12.3 lbs). If you feel you need more than 70-73% shade and you don’t live in an area that experiences high wind levels on a regular basis then this is the material for you. This fabric can also be used to cover openings in barns to allow air to circulate but it will keep out most of the rain or snow.
