The major difference between our 73% woven and our 70% Knitted material is that the knitted material can withstand an abusive environment since it is designed with a rip-stop construction. The shade factor is slightly less than the 73% woven shade. This material can be used as wind screen, bird netting, greenhouses, and shade structures. A shade panel made from this material will weigh approximately .055 lbs/square foot (a 10’x20’ will weigh approximately 11 lbs). If you have been using our standard shade and have not been able to make the panels last more than 5 years, we highly recommend you use this fabric.
